Duty

Yesterday I received a jury summons in the mail; only the second one in my entire life. The first one was in the county I grew up in and had just recently moved from, I got an excuse from that one. In the letter I received yesterday it said that I could go online and request to be excused...which I did. Don't get me wrong, I would love to be on jury duty. However, I have no one to take care of Geof in my absence. I gave that as my reasoning and was granted an excuse this morning via email. You can bet I'm going to print that sucker out just in case they try to arrest or fine my ass for not showing up!
